Whatever happened to things being simple?
One video.
This should have been a simple exercise, the shooting of a video and then uploading it. The difficulty in uploading one simple video has brought the entire What Ever Happened to the DC Universe video reviews project to a screeching halt. Between Blip TV having a 1GB max video size limit, the fighting with the editing program to make the video an acceptable file size but still have it viewable has resulted in this being one massive waste of time and effort.
Even reducing the updates per week from three to two won’t allow for another time to fight with the editing program and then wait for Blip TV to take seven hours to upload a 12 minute low quality video. And reducing back to one update a week will then take a year to review the entire 52 new issue 1 books in the new DCU, making the entire project impossibly long for something that need not be so complicated. Andy’s not slept in two days and spent the majority of that time working on just the introduction video. Filming was easy, getting it online was the nigh impossible part. And before anyone says it, YouTube is not the better alternative as it has greater limitations and buggy-ness.
We’re not sure where we’re going to go from here, but one certainty is that the videos are off the cards now.
